install - ISO file path not an option when installing Linux on virtualbox -

when installing linux on virtualbox windows 7 64bit host

i following screen enter image description here

all tutorials have watched on how install linux on virtualbox skip screen

i using iso file not see option enter path of said iso file

do need copy file cd? or missing setting virtualbox?

enter image description here

the way virtualbox (or virtualization in general) works, when on host (the windows pc running virtualbox) mount iso file cd/dvd drive, shown cd/dvd on client (your linux installation). client won't see difference.

so in sense doing correctly. however, have "wrong" installation iso. file have mounted "oracle linux r6 update 5 uek boot iso x86_64 v41364-01.iso" (if googled correctly). question in first screenshot asking installation image understanding asking actual installation data can found. either dvd, harddrive, local repository in lan, or internet. in case easier use installation media, includes installation files, "oracle linux r6 update 5 x86_64 v41362-01.iso" (again if googled correctly).

so sum up, either download full installation image (around 4 gb), or use 1 have , point "url" image internet.
